Hi Conny, welcome to DFS, I want to second whatever it was that Matsilainen said and add that I think most wives think more than 1 razor or soap or aftershave would be too much. My wife thinks I've lost my mind and I just tell her its because I'm just crazy about her! It spills over into other things though, like shaving. Smile Enjoy.

Marko, I enjoyed your comment and your trust in my ability to produce written Swedish (which is my third language)!  Smile

Wet shaving (mainly all the equipment acquisitions) can certainly be tricky to expound to the wife, and sometimes I wonder if I bring this hobby up too much in conversation. Hubbabub, I wish you continued good luck in explaining this pastime to your wife!

Matsilainen , I will have to trust in your ability as well! I only have English, French and a little Spanish. I would like to learn more languages. Smile

Marko, those are great languages to have a knowledge in. I’d like to learn more, too. When you learn a new language, you always end up learning so much more than just a language.

Hubbabub, sorry for hijacking your thread. It would be interesting to learn more about your wet shaving experiences so far. I think it would also be interesting to hear if there’s a wet shaving culture in Sweden, and how much of the equipment you use can you get locally and how much from other countries. (On a Finnish forum I follow, many users rave about vintage Heljestrand straight razors, made in Eskilstuna.)
