I have this vintage celluloid brush case.  It has broken and needs to be glued

What type of glue do you all suggest?  Household cement?  Model airplane glue?  Epoxy?  Other?

Thanks

I would try epoxy personally. That stuff will glue anything rock solid in my experience. Good luck!

I've redone several celluloid handles but used silicon to set the knot. Isn't going to work here. I wish I could tell you what super glue does to celluloid as that'd be my first choice for the task. Epoxy would likely hold but it'll be hard to make it pretty.

I chose epoxy.

Definitely not the same as unbroken, but appears to be serviceable.

With careful application using a toothpick, I was able to minimize any squeezeout.
Will it last long term?  Only time will tell.
