Since it's the hottest day of the year in the UK right now, I thought it would be perfect to use a cooling soap with menthol in it.
When I first used grön lycka Mr. Cool soap during the winter, I was amazed by the ice cold feeling on my face. I was a little disappointed by the soap today because the cooling effect wasn't as strong as I had remembered.

Has anyone else experienced this, as it seems to me that it should be the opposite and feel cooler in the summer?
I might give the Stirling Glacial soaps a try.

Mr. Cool Ingredients: Potassium Stearate, Sodium Stearate, Potassium Cocoate*, Sodium Cocoate*, Glycerin, Aqua, Sodium Lactate, Potassium Jojobate*, Sodium Jojobate*, Coconut Milk Powder, Menthol, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Oil*, Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood) Bark Oil*, Limonene**

I have some ws-23 powder to add if I want extra chill to any soap. Highly recommend it if you can find it reasonably priced. I've had it awhile. A little goes a long way. I just put a small amount on top of the soap tub before loading from the tub.

Menthol and synthetic cooling agents are great in summer if you face can tolerate them. Unfortunately, I cannot use either. Menthol causes major irritation and the synthetics cause minor irritation.

Barrister and Mann Arctique is also ice cold. Get the splash too if you can. But glacials are also phenomenal

Noble Otter orbit also has a nice synthetic coolant in it. I would not be surprised if the cooling affect of your soap feels less intense in the summer. In my expierence skin coolants increase my sensitivity to cold, if there is a nice breeze or I splash some water on my face in hot weather its noticable. But on hot days with no wind I don't feel much cooling.
