Have five Gillette Vintages, all shave me well.  Never case BBS.  Each Vintage us it own quirks.

Honestly if their Handle were 3.5”, they would all be better IMHO.

My hands like me are old, arthritic, and don’t work.

Ideas for TECH CLONE, long Handle, with more Blade feel.?

If you’re looking for a tech clone that means you want a mild razor. I’d recommend a Rockwell 6s which will give you a variety of options depending on the baseplate from very mild at 1 to reasonably aggressive at 6.  Also there is the Feather ASD2 which is easily as mild as a vintage Tech.  If I were to point out the shortcomings of these choices they would include that the Feather can be too mild for some people and the Rockwell is, in my opinion, the ugliest razor on the market and perhaps the ugliest razor ever made.  I’ve called it in other posts the Soviet T34 of razors.  Incredibly ugly but cheap and effective. Good luck.

Marko has given you good advice. And I will come in only because I am a mild razor user.

The Feather is controversial as too mild as Marko noted, and for some hard to find out keep the right angle.

The Karve B and Karve A and Overlander are sweet, but not low readily available or long waits. They are nice as you can get long handles for them though.

The Timeless 68 is fantastic but head stack height is huge.

I almost hate too admit it but the Gamechanger 68 and 76 are stupendous for me. Low profile, nimble, inexpensive and very intuitive. The Gamechanger Mamba 70 and 53 are first cousins but I prefer the 68/76s. I hand polished my heads and put longer handles on mine - as I have arthritic thumbs and much prefer long handles.

A close second for me are the Carbon mild and neutral heads/plates. More expensive but same low profile as they are comfortable daily drivers. I really dislike their handles and have reposted my Carbon heads on 100mm handles.

I love steel and copper so you can go that way except for the GC heads - steel only.

I did not mention the ATT M1 - as they are currently unavailable new. Blackbird is now in control of ATT, and they may our may not be produced anymore.

Carbon, Razor Rock 68, and Karves are on my Radar.
