Hi TheHandleBar, I just was at your website and tried to buy some of the Gillette Stainless blades (red pack) and it says they don't ship to Canada.  Whats up with that?  They don't contain alcohol.  I'd sure like to try those blades.  I have a hundred pack of the silver blues and I really like those in my ikon OSS.

Hi Mark,
Where did you read that it doesn't ship to Canada? I absolutely do ship to Canada, and do so fairly often. That's puzzling.

My stock is fairly low at the moment but I'm receiving a new shipment either late next week or early the following. I only have about 4 or 5 packs left, they've been quite popular since their arrival (as you can tell by my excitement for them).

Hi Gareth, I signed up on the handlebar.com site and put 2 gillette (a stainless and a platinum) and 1 Kai blade pack in the shopping cart and when I tried to checkout I got a popup window that said one or more items in the cart doesn't ship to my address so change my destination. I took the Kai out to see if it was the problem but got the same popup. So now I'm moving so I can get the blades I want. I thought it was odd.

Gareth, I went back and tried again and I was successful this time. I don't know what I did wrong the first time but it has all worked out. Thanks!

Gareth and community, as mentioned received my Gillette SS blades recently and have had the chance to use them a number of times: solid thumbs up!

They are both sharp and smooth, possibly edging out the Gillette Nacet which I also have grown fond of recently.

Longevity takes a bit of a hit but I can comfortably get 2-3 shaves vs. my normal 3-4 out of a blade and for the performance feel it worth it.

Great blades and happy to have them in the rotation!

Excellent service from the HBS team- amazing how quickly orders get turned! Looking forward to your thoughts on the SS as well. I find them to be smooth operators as mentioned.

Gareth, I used a Gillette SS in a EJ DE89 this morning and it was very nice. Smooth, sharp, no damage to the epidermis. Now I'm only shaving my neck now as its beard season but I think this would be a keeper. I'll try it in my ikon razor when its blade change time on that one. The ikon has an affinity for the Gillette SB so I'm thinking it may also like the SS.
thanks
Mark

Good question. Does anyone else know? I haven't tried the Gillette Spoilers.
