A. Gilllette has never sold their Made in Brazil blades in the USA before, only being offered in Latin America

B. The thread is about these aforementioned blades.

These blades are now sold not only at Walgreen's, but Hy-Vee grocers, HEB grocers & Publix stores as well.

Update - I finished 8 shaves with my first "new old" Gillette. I could have gone longer, but there was clearly some degradation - not pulling so much as additional passes required. I usually average 4 to 5 shaves per blade, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the performance, and this was with 4 different razors (including the hyper-aggressive iKon ShaveCraft Tech, which with my steep shaving angle seems to take a toll on blades).

I quit at seven, which is as far as I ever got with any 'Golden Age' blade including the Personna 74. This Gillette blade is top shelf.

I don't quite now how I feel about Gillette reentering the DE field after foisting their crappy cartridges on us for all of these years. Heck, they marketed cart's as being better, now here they show up with blades? What a bunch of hypocrites! But whoops! Maybe we weren't supposed to notice or remember.

One good thing to come out of are the blades themselves if they are as good as you say they are, no longer will Dorcos be the only available DE blade in the stores. I wonder if they'll make it into Maine?

Why 9 blades? Because they can't actually make the blade smaller in the same size package like with cookies or candy bars?  We live in a 10 world, that is except for those of us still on the imperial system of measurement, i.e., Liberia, Myanmar and the USA  Oh, and time too, clocks aren't based on 10.  What a messy world we live in.  

I hope the blades work well at that price.
