I quit going to Walgreens after seeing the high prices of their off brand blades. I got my regular and vanilla Clubman and figured they had nothing else to offer me.
I used a GSB in a Delta Echo vintage Super Speed today. The SS is so smooth that half the time I can't feel the blade at all. I used B&M Seville soap and did a 3 pass plus touch up shave. The result was BBS. Very nice blade. My initial impression is that the GSB is as smooth as the Personna Lab Blue (my personal benchmark for good blades,) but a bit more efficient.

I made a stop by Walgreens yesterday and look what I found. Out of my price range. I heard (but have never tried) that you can order items from Walgreens corporate and they will put it on the self as a regular stock item, or hold it for you for no extra charge or delivery fee.

I went to tryablade about a year ago and got 20 different types of blades. Tried a lot but the gillette platinum stood out for me. I think they are very smooth, ended up buying 200 in bulk. Only blade I use now. Figured if it works great why mess with it. The box of personas and astras are collecting dust.

These are great blades and I am occasionally able to pick them up at my local Walgreens.
