Gillette Guard Razors and refills have been added to the shop today.
$1.50 for the razor, and $3.75 for a 6 pack of refill blades.

Hey Lipripper... Am I missing something in regard to the Guard? I have a Baili tech clone and a beat-up Gillette post war set aside for travel. What's the draw to going with a guard? Maybe carry-on capable? Really curious, as I am still awaiting my first traditional shaving trip.

Thanks.

I'll let Lipripper respond on his own behalf but I use carts for travel because I refuse to hand over my bags to the airlines when traveling on business. And even when traveling for pleasure I prefer to carry on if the bag is small enough. My cart of choice for that purpose is the Mach 3 but I also bought some Guards as I've heard good things about them. I'll probably take one with me on my next trip and give it a shot.

I personally use the Gillette Guard for headshaving. It's very comfortable, cheap, and simple. Only one blade and no lubricating strip. I also bring mine traveling when a DE isn't appropriate to bring. They're not marketed to US Customers, probably because if the regular Joe got their hands on one, they likely wouldn't buy an 8 pack of multiblade carts for $30.
