Getting better...almost BBS!

It's a sweetheart. Especially with a Personna Blue. I tried it with a new Rockwell blade and it was too tuggy. Of course I have about 6 brands of blades I can progress through to reach the penultimate Feather, but until then, I cant see myself using another razor for another couple of months, unless I get a dud blade or something like that. Like I said in my PM to you, now I know why they dont pop up that often, guys just dont let go of them that often. I dont blame them.

Chris, your progress in to straight razor shaving has to be congratulated. Three months, or 100 shaves, is generally considered to be the time frame for adequately mastering the use of these blades. I think it's fair to say you're a natural.

Its been close to 2 months since my first time with a straight, and about 2 weeks with shavettes before that, so m not really that far ahead of schedule...

Im more proud of my achievements with the hones. 2 blades taken all the way down to dull and brought back up. Both with chips at the toe. One with really uneven hone wear and bevel. Both are shaving beautifully these days, and I paid less than $40 for them combined! They have both provided good practice for honing different grinds with 1 being extr@ hollow and reasonably quick and the other half hollow and being very trying of my patience...but finally coming into shape...
