I did my usual two pass shave and it felt very similar to my Paradigm Titanium 2 razor. Very smooth and close with little problems. Grip and build quality is excellent. For a $55 razor it is truly amazing. I can't compare the head with the previous one Joe offered because I never owned one. I notice all the Game Changers are sold out but I highly recommend picking one up when they are for sale again.

Wow. That's saying something comparing it to one of the higher end razors in the business plus it's reputation as a smooth and great all around shaver. I know similar is not exact but, still high praise indeed.

I was comparing the shave quality only and both shave very similar. As far as build quality both some what the same but the Paradigm Ti 2 has an incredible finish equal to the Wolfman. You can't beat the price of the Game Changer at $55.

Now that I’ve spent a few days with the .84 plate my love for this razor has grown. I have many high end razors, is this going to replace them, no but is definitely going to get use along side them. This razor meets my key criteria it’s comfortable to shave daily with, delivers great results, and deals with my scarred trouble spot. This razor definitely will be on my recommend razor list.

Second shave with the GC 84. Hendrix soap, which is a very good performing soap, Brad Sears brush, Polsilver blade. Once again a very smooth 3 pass BBS shave. I really am liking the shave but I still don’t like loading the blade on the baseplate. Anyone know why RR is reversing the system? For the price this is one great mid aggressive shaver.

I used the GC .84 this morning on a two day growth using PC Nuavia Rosso and a fresh Polsilver SI blade. It did an excellent job. First pass I used a RR Titanium handle and second and third I used a RR SS handle - I prefer the heavier handle with it. I got an excellent three pass shave. This is a very good razor.

I know what people are saying about the posts on the head being on the base instead of the cap and also being quite subtle - Joe used this system on the original Black Mamba and a few other razors I think. Its different but I've gotten used to it and I've never had a blade misalignment, the blade always finds its place.

5 straight daily shaves with the 84 GC and Polsilver Blade. My impression is it is an excellent daily razor with a good balance of smoothness and efficiency. The price for 316 SS is impossible to beat. If you have found most recent RR razors too mild, like I have, this is the one to get.

I picked up a RR Barber Pole handle to go along with my .84 head - they're in stock now. Just the handle not the head.

I fully agree with your opinion, it’s spot on. I have found that certain razors work for me and some don’t. I honestly don’t know whether it’s a skill issue but since I started my wetshaving journey I have bought plenty of stuff to try. Nowadays I can just grab anything and get a great close irritation free shave. The only exceptions where I could not get a good shave were from the Paradigm 17-4(not close and not smooth)and the .68 Game Changer(inefficient). I couldn’t figure them out.

Using 84 Gamechanger with a Polsilver however has been a really great experience, super easy BBS shaves everytime with minimal if any sting from the aftershave. Really efficient and smooth without feeling dangerous or having to resort to buffing. My favorite razors right now are the .84 Game Changer, Ti Baby Smooth and the Rex Ambassador in no particular order.

For anyone interested it looks like the 84P is in stock in all formats other than the base plate by itself. Razor heads, full razors, all handle offerings, it's all there if you would like one.
