I opened it to 22mm per request and they opted for synthetic from Maggards. Glad to see this one staying in the family and can be used for more years to come!

Freddie, I love the old Ever-Ready brush handles and have one that I found on eBay, I believe. A friend restored it for me quite a few years ago and it remains a favorite brush.  Your restoration work is beautiful and, as you suggested, made even more special because it is "staying in the family."  Again, just a great job. Between work, getting my jeep back on tbe road, and a kitchen remodeled, I haven't had much time to work on handles. Have had this Rubberset 400-4 in the works off and on for a few weeks and finally took a moment to finish it. Will post in tbe BST if anyone is interested.
