Has anyone ever used a shave soap with these two Biblical fragrances? I see several makers make/made one, but I am curious now that Stirling is offering one:

Used Stirling’s...it is one of my favorites for this time of year. Wife got me hooked on scent after her getting into essential oils.

I've used Frankincense and Myrrh bath soap(not Stirling, though) before and it is a very warm, soothing scent. It is a very nice scent to my nose.

I was just looking at the Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh shaving soap(and aftershave splash, and balm, and bar soap.) I have a bunch of Stirling shaving soap samples from a few years ago and was thinking about trying a new set, since I think the formula of the shaving soap is different now than when I tried it before.

Can you describe the scent and how potent it is, please? Smile

Tabula Rasa makes Olibanum. Olibanum is another word for frankincense. The fragrance of their soap is very pleasing

I have always avoided scenting shaving creams and soaps with a Frankincense and Myrrh because of the biblical connection because so many people would make that connection and think that it should only be used at Christmas time! Frankincense has that wonderful, smooth incense base to it and Myrrh has a rich and resinous scent to it so they actually do go together quite nicely!

Frankincense &Myrrh can be a weird scent. Although I love incense, Dragons blood, and resin scents like this, there have been some F&M scents I didn't care for like Stirling. The truest reprentarion of this scent I have found is Soap Smooth Frankincense &Myrrh- it is pretty strong, woodsy, incense resin scent and the A/S scent lasts all day.
