If you guys are looking for me to set the examples around here. That’s a mighty risky proposition.

I'll see what I can do.........

So the Derby has landed and on 1st sniff my suspicions from reading Ken's description are confirmed. Smells like Arko and has the same consistency. I expect a good lather for the shave but will need post shave products if anything like Arko which is a drying soap to my skin. Wouldn't surprise me if they are made by the same company for each of them to resale.

This quote from Ken just makes me laugh!

"Not quite sure how to describe it. I’m guessing it may be an acquired taste kind of thing. First impression after one use. It’s better than just water to shave with. You can see where you’ve been with the razor. It probably will keep any biting insects away if you happen to be shaving outdoors near a swamp or landfill.
As I was basking in the luxury of it all. I had an epiphany.“

Dave, any swamps or a dumpster near your shave den to test it out?!

If I get a "surprise" package, I will have to open it up outside, not even in the garage!

Good luck!

Razor : 3d Printed Lather Catcher by twhite
Blade : Gem (2)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts/Maggards Synthetic
Soap: Derby Citronella Candle
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Vintage Aqua Velva
Fragrance:

So the Fluffy express (UPS) delivered the soap in record time and it was used with the 3D printed lather catcher on video which is uploading as I write this. The soap was very much like Arko in decent lather but not quite as drying post shave as I remember the Arko being. As far as scent, it's nearly a dead ringer for Arko which I find a synthetic lemon pledge/citronella kind of mix. Not a big deal but certainly not something I'd like to reach for regularly. This will get posted today or tomorrow to Mr Mike HighSpeed for him to use and write a little something about his take on it. And to post in the thread in the Soap section.
Have a great day everyone !!
