Thank you everyone! I am currently using a West Coast Shaving Hyperion first gen along with my ever present Weber Polished Head, and DLC. I recently acquired a Ti Wolfman Razor, but I decided to trade it off as it wasn't to my liking for the amount of money they are asking. Luckily I had traded a coveted Wiborg brush for it, so I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket to acquire it, and traded it to a FB friend for 3-simpson brushes as the trade value is quite high for that razor for some reason. I just don't see it. I think I paid $160 for each of my Weber Razor (not new), and around $90 for the WCS Hyperion. I like the symmetry on both of those varieties best as they shave my jawline and neck with no irritation whatsoever.
I also fancy my Feather DX. I tried a straight, but with stropping and my gimpy arm and hand gave up on it. Damaged my hand changing out a Nitrogen tank 5 years ago and have some residual nerve damage, so I tend to stick with things that don't need too much repetitive motions, and stropping a razor is just that...I'd love to be to, but it just isn't so for me.
I'm sort of intrigued by the Carbon Razor, and would like to try one of those in the future, but I'm not going to be rash in that acquisition. I overpaid for a Brass CGL2 that I ultimate sold to MaxP, but at a much more respectable price. I figure we sometimes overpay, but with all the trading we do it must work itself out. And besides value is subjective, so there is also that. I'm hoping to be able to contribute in this forum, make some friends and hopefully learn something new.
I appreciate you all welcoming me into the group! Now if I could just curtail my travel schedule so I can actually spend time posting! that's on my Christmas Wish List....lol
Cheers!
