They definitely do. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they should. Thank you!

I'm not sure that the ratio really matters all that much. My concern is whether the overall weight of stand+razor is enough to keep it in place and upright when you bump it while reaching for another razor. Thanks for chiming in!

I’d love to see a stand made of zirconium since it’s essentially a sister metal to titanium that is also heavier and slightly more corrosion resistant.

If zirconium isn’t possible then I vote titanium as well to prevent a less noble metal from becoming a sacrificial anode.

I would want a titanium matching stand if I end up getting a stand. I usually don’t get stands because all of my razors are in a wall mounted rack.

Go with whichever way you’re leaning. Whatever you choose will be wrong to half of your customers. Seriously, if the stand is the same design as the current Blackbird stand, I would say titanium so people could choose either one.

I usually don't ask for opinions because I think people are generally happier when they are unaware that there was another possible option. But in this case I just don't have enough experience with Ti stands long-term to make this decision in a vacuum. Your last point is where I'm currently sitting.

have you thought of doing some tests between a Ti & ss stand?

I don't think I've ever used a Ti razor before, but I do own and like aluminum razors. if the goal of a stand is to present the razor, then I think Ti is fine, but if it's supposed to present & protect the razor from tip overs, I think SS is the way to go. perhaps if you go the Ti route, maybe you can add something to the bottom of the stand to add some weight.

I’ll try and take some pictures when I have better lighting but another issue I could see with SS stands for titanium razors is the appearance of the different metals.

Stainless looks brighter to my eyes versus titanium which has a darker and more muted appearance. Titanium also develops a different patina that SS doesn’t so over time the two metals might look increasingly dissimilar next to one another.

Also, titanium can be anodized which is super cool if anyone wants to go that route!

I have both sitting on my desk. Having them in person doesn't really tell you as much as you might think; it more or less just confirms what you'd expect. Ti matches better and stainless keeps it in place better. It's not like Ti will blow away in your bathroom windstorm, but it moves around more than SS when you insert/remove a razor.

The Blackbird stand is pretty wide so it's plenty stable. It'll be interesting to see how a Vector Ti stand works given how narrow it is. Problem for another day.

I got Titanium stands for titanium razors, stainless stands for stainless razors, brass stands for brass razors and copper stands for copper razors - I guess it's best to keep it the same and in the same finish but then again why not mix and match

I have the TI stand with my Timeless Ti. It looks appropriate and for those among us with OCD the match will be a must. Some will not care. For others it may come down to cost. I would prefer the choice of picking ones own poison so to speak.
