stesa How’s the scent on that West of Olympia Envy soap? The description their site sounds awesome.

These are my initial impressions: I do not believe that this is the most approachable scent because of the clove note - clove is a rather divisive scent. That being said, the scent is comes together very nicely - think Chatillon Lux's Delor de Treget / Declaration Grooming's After The Rain pine-citrus combo meets a spicy clove, with a hint of a white floral note thrown in for good measure. Scent strength is medium.

I am not sure what to think about this scent yet, and probably need a week's worth of shaves with it to fully appreciate its nuances.

stesa Interesting, good to know about the clove component. It was the anise + floral combo that was intriguing to me - was hoping it would anise forward. Thanks for the response.
