Favorite DE Handles (with Pics)

Neroli, this subject is near to my heart. I have a narrow window and tight criterion for my preferred handles. Most won't like my predilections but here goes.

Preferences:

90mm plus in length
No skinny handles
Don't like narrow waist lined handles [e.g. Carbon]
Like significant girth
Like machined pattern(s) to cover entire handle
Dont like smooth bands on handles
Prefer copper & brass over steel and Ti

Ranking follows:

1 BBS-1 or Tibam Ti dupe
2 Wolfman Wh4 102mm, copper
3 Karve 100mm handles, brass&copper
4 H&S 90 mm SS
5 TIMELESS 100MM SS
6 ATT 100MM SS
7 Charcoal Goods, various 100mm coppers
8 Smart Helix 90mm SS

While we certainly have very contrasting tastes as far as efficiency is concerned, it seems like we're very much on the same page handle wise. 90 mm is definitely my sweet spot. I like the 3.5" size. 3" handle for me is just too short. I started off with a 4" handle, I can still use them, but I prefer a little shorter. I do like thicker handles, which is why I know a lot of people don't care for the Timeless razors because they are kind of on the girthy side, but I actually liked that. I haven't really gotten into a preference so far over metals other than the fact that I'm definitely coming to the relatively solid conclusion that I do not like aluminum. It is just too damn light for me. Titanium is not too bad, I don't have many, but I do use those somewhat regularly.

Sounds like we are on the same page. I really like those girthy Timeless handles. 90-100mm with some tactile purchase area is sweet!

My favorite is the RazoRock RadioKnob handle. I’m not sure why they discontinued them but would love to find another one.

My second favorite is the RazoRock BarberPole like posted earlier. It’s an incredible handle for $20. I don’t see how it could really be improved - maybe I’m just not picky enough but the finish on all of mine are superb. The grip/texture beats any handle I have out of 50+.

I don’t have any high end razors like Wolfman so maybe that would change but I do have plenty from other vendors. I like having a little “knob” at the bottom of the handle that’s wider then the rest of the handle because I like to hold it at the end and drag it across my face with no pressure.

The Timeless Crown looks like it could be a good fit for me but I guess they don’t make them in SS? If they ever make it with SS I’ll probably grab one. I like weight and don’t plan on ever buying anything Titanium or Aluminum again.

I had a RR Radio Knob handle (and most other RR handles) and sold it (you missed out lol).  It just didn't become a favorite of mine.  I agree with you about the weight of Stainless Steel.  It's just right for me.  I had Titanium Timeless razors including the Crown handle and sold them, I prefer my stainless Timeless razor.  But yeah, if Timeless ever makes the Crown handle in stainless steel I will buy one for sure, the shape is wonderful.

I have enjoyed these two.  The one on the left I believe is titanium, don't know the manufacturer. Very grippy.  The one on the right is by Stork, don't know the model name. Hefty, great knurling.

Really hope Timeless will be restocking the Crown handle(in Ti) at some point soon! Great looking and seems like the perfect size, with excellent grip from all reports.
