Thanks

I smelled it alongside my Krampert's Finest AS. While it might not be a 100% fair comparison to sniff a soap next to an aftershave splash, I give the nod to Krampert's as it has a spicier smell to me. the PAA bay rum is right up there though!

I was talking to Douglas last night, he mentioned that I should try to find some bay rum aftershave from burt's bees on ebay..

I have some PAA bay rum soap but no AS - I do have a couple of bottles of the HTGAM bay rum aftershave - with and without alcohol. They're great. I have no idea how they compare to the PAA versions although I'd expect them to be similar if not the same.

I recently had a bay rum lot up for sale because I was thinking I wanted to pare down my aftershaves and shaving brushes. Sold a few brushes and that broke my fever, so I kept my bay rums. Glad I did. So far I like... PAA (Regular and Artic), Layrite No. 9, St. John's, Dominica, and Grand Bay. The verdict is still out for me on Gilber Henry. Tried Captain's Choice Co9 a long time ago and liked the burn but not the scent so much, but I'll revisit it at some point, since it's been awhile and my bay rum love has grown.

EDIT: I didn't really answer the question. Right now my favorite bay rum is PAA Artic Bay Rum.

I had the HTGAM Artic Bay Rum and then got the PAA Artic Bay Rum. Same great stuff.

My favorite Bay Rum scents are Barrister & Mann's and Cold River Soap Works in that order. Both scents are great, and they each have an Orange twist that I really enjoy. Both excellent performers as well, love 'em!

if you enjoy the citrus notes in the bay rum, stirlings bay rum is heavier on the citrus side than most. I'm not sure if you've tried it yet before though.

I haven't tried Stirlings before, but I love their soaps, so I'll have to give it a try. Thanks!

I've tried a bunch and my favorite is Royall spice Bay Rum. It even comes with a bay leaf in the bottle
