ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

Been lurking for a long time, still using my Bergamotto happily. I am sure the Vanilla Safi is lovely, but I will hold out for the Colonia release. I keep missing it year after year somehow. I also need a Sandalo soap as I only bought the SFS, it's very nice for night shaving year round.

I've had a few inquiries on the Kailua Aroma Blend so I thought I'd just post up the ingredient list for the F Base Shave Soap which contains the Aroma blend. I will note this is not 100% Natural as many of my Aroma Blends are and I like to make people aware if they are not. The target aroma here would be impossible using all naturals Aromatics but with the future looking bright with more and more natural distillates being made who knows what the future will bring.

Yes when we release all the Vanilla Safi products officially on my website and at the vendors ( the products that they have will vary from vendor to vendor but the complete line will be available on the ETHOS website and that would include the EDP
Which is a blend that is Vanilla forward but not just a straight Vanilla as all the other products are as I thought for a cologne most would want a little more than just Vanilla

Well it's more Coconut, Pineapple with the citruses and floral coming in that order so close but got the first two backwards LOL

However, I just went through extensive allergy testing and one of the three substances they found I am allergic to was Balsam of Peru! I never even heard about it before and was wondering in what product it could be in, now I know it might be a part of a fragrance. Keeping my eyes open from now on (one of the others could be also in such products or food stuff, Cinnamal).

So as far as Balsam of Peru. It is an Essential oil so not a synthetic and I hope you were tested using the essential oil because the difference between the Essential Oil and the Synthetic version would be huge as far as testing goes. So in the case of the EDP I’m making for the Vanilla Collection it is absolutely in the Aroma Blend only and at a very low level as I want the Vanilla to be front and center in the blend. As far as Cinnamal  goes most Amyl Cimmimal used in Perfumes are almost always a synthetic compound. Hexyl Cinamal is found in in Chamomile which you may already know. Hexyl Cinnamaldehyde naturally is found in Cinnamon trees, Camphor and Cassia so I’d stay away from anything containing those ingredients. 

I will say that not always is someone who is allergic to an ingredient will be allergic to let’s say a Shave soap or Serum etc when mixed together with many other ingredients. I have had several people who are normally allergic to natural cinnamon like what’s in my two Bay Rums surprisingly not have an allergic reaction to the product and I’ll get messages saying I don’t know what you put in your base but I’m not having a reaction and I’m surprised. This has happened many times over the years so that’s why a sample is the best way to find out.

 Oh and you make some great brushes! The two you changed the knots for me unfortunately were lost in the fire including that white one which I got from Italy which was my favorite.
