It’s been about 6 months since anyone posted In this thread. I’ve been looking at the Essence quite a bit lately and I’m wondering what people’s opinions are now that a bit of time has passed.

To me, the main advantage of the Essence stems from the narrowness of the spine, which makes it possible to keep the spine closer to the skin and shave with a much shallower angle than other shavettes.  The difference in shaving angle is immediately noticeable.  The Essence also loads easily, balances well, and has as grippy and helpful a pair of double jimps as you will find.  It also simply looks and feels great!  The stand looks great too, although it is not necessary.  Finally, the Essence also accommodates different blade formats (although in my case, I have only used Artist Club format blades).

I share the same experience with emphasis on the thin spine.
Night and day compared to the few other Shavettes I've used.
More slicing at the surface rather than grazing.

At last I have tried this razor!
Looks super. There were difficulties with receiving the razor, but Manuel was so kind that has agreed to send a private parcel a parcel to me.
Manuel thanks a lot!
When I ordered the stand razor for the razor wasn't available. I hope to order the stand.

I learn to shave shavette!

I will be grateful to you for video and council for shavette shaving.

I got the email as well. This deffiniatly looks schnazy but you gotta wonder what the cost will be compared to the current. The only changes made for this limited "33" looks to be engraved and has a little gold on the blade. This looks to be the exact same razor as the original. If it costs the same great but not worth the penny imo unless your a collector as the shave will be the same. I love my essence unequivocally but unless he comes out with a Kami, which would be smart, I do not see this in my future. Was the engraving done in Sweden/Switzerland or was that done in China also were the razor was made vs assembled? I'm curious and thought that no other illeterations would be made until the original "333" were sold out.

I don’t know why the razor would be improved by having writing on the blade holder, and I don’t know what the message and the snake circle has to do with this razor. I’m not against some sort of customization to help sell the remaining razors, but I don’t really get where this design is coming from.

Mine lives on the bathroom counter. I don't use it as often as I'd like to, since lately I've been experimenting with straight razors more. They don't shave any better than the Essence does, and in most cases, shave worse.

If someone was looking for the perfect straight razor experience without all the maintenance bother, I'd still recommend this razor over all others, provided they had the budget for it.

If I was a barber that did straight razor shaves, I wouldn't settle for any other razor at all.

I continue to use mine on a regular basis. It's definitely the most used razor in my heavily reduced, go-to's collection.

Pottertons enabled me on this one. I really enjoy mine though I have only used it a few times so far. It is a work of art as far as I'm concerned. I intend on using it much more in the coming months in order to get better / more skilled at it.
