Oh that's nice, I have a very nice Pedro Ximenez sherry to drink at some point and that picture could make it tonight!

I went for it!

This is a Bodegas Baron Pedro Ximenez Sherry, incredibly thick and rich. A real treat to the senses.

Sherry is often over looked as an old mans drink which couldn't be further from the truth. There is several types of Sherry ranging from light and very dry almost salty to the mega sweet.

My only tip when buying sherry is don't wait till Christmas to drink it!!!

A great beer festival with a lot of top breweries from both Europe and US.

Each brewery had two beers on tap per session. I only visited the last one and the best brewery with two great beers was Hill Farmstead with Society Solitude (IIPA) and Florence (wheat saison). Other honorable mentions would be Alefarm brewery (new danish brewery) with Kindered spirits, 3Floyds; Permanent Funeral, Buxton; Barrel aged double axe, The Kernel; IPA Mosaic Citra and Anngry Chair; Strawberry mojito gose.
As you can see my focus was on IPAs and sours/saisons. There was also a lot of heavier beers but I only tried a few.

My first weekend home in three... feeling a little Bogie in Casablanca and been on an absolute Gin tear lately so mixed up some French 75's. Used some super dry Proseco and Meyer Lemons so not absolutely traditional but absolutely good.

Too good in fact and simmering some more simple syrup while I kill time here and put on some more music Smile Cheers all and hope that you are having a great weekend!
