I was wondering about brush handles in metal.

I do make the occasional brush in the same material.  Below is a brush I built that is a combination of Copper and Silver.  I do have a block of this same material, as well as the Copper and Carbon that would work for a brush handle.

Do you have any copper and silver to make one of these Bob?

Yes, I do have 1 block of the Copper and Silver remaining.

I want it. Let's get it figured out when I'm back in town Tuesday. Do you want a deposit to hold it for me?

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a picture of some exceptional blocks of Gallery Grade Plus Desert Ironwood burl.
The two brushes shown below are from one of the blocks.   The figure in this wood is some of the best I've seen in a very long time.

Both brushes have just been listed and are available on my site at www.eliterazor.com.  They are shown below wiht a 24mm knot, but can be adjusted to accept a 26mm knot.

If you prefer a larger knot, submitted for your approval (I must be channeling Rod Serling today) is the Alternate Jade brush shown below.

Jade is found in many colors ranging from a dark green to almost white.  Jade often has veins or streaks running through it from various mineral deposits.  In natural Jade, some of these patterns are considered particularly valuable.   This Alternate Jade is made of a polyester resin imported from Europe.

The knot is a 30mm Manchurian White Fan, which measures about 33mm as it exits the handle.  The loft is 55mm.

This brush is listed and available on my site at www.eliterazor.com

Guys, I had a wonderful visit with the MAN, Bob Quinn yesterday when I picked up my brush. Bob is one of the coolest, nicest laid back artists in this wet shaving industry!! His craftsmanship is stunning and I love that he wants to put a personal touch on each one of his items. If you have any of his work, keep supporting him and Elite Razors. If you are on the fence with a purchase from him, click that "buy" button now! His work is beautiful and he is a joy to interact with! Here are a couple pics of my brush before and after bloom. The metal handle is amazing to hold and it has just the right heft. Thanks Bob!![Image: 64d8584d8e93e15281a34e7b12faa621.jpg][Image: cfb2c50aeb3cfc1a55708b2e031b5dd2.jpg]

My thoughts go out to everyone that was impacted by the recent storms.  We only received a glancing blow from Irma and were fortunate to have only lost power for a day.

I have been finishing up some custom orders, but did have a chance to finish a couple of brushes over the weekend.

These brushes are available at www.eliterazor.com

Old Growth Poplar - The brush below is shown with a 24mm knot, but can be adjusted to accept a 26mm knot.  It was built from a piece of Poplar that was reclaimed during the deconstruction of the Acworth Train Depot, which was built in 1840.  This wood is over 175 years old.

I just received a shipment of knots.  I have been out of the 26mm bulbs for a couple of weeks and am now well stocked.  For those of you who like a larger knot, I did receive a couple of 30mm Manchurian Whites in both Fan and Bulb.  As with all my knots, they are very dense and measure just over 32mm as they exit the handle.  I only have a couple and they are not listed on my site.  If you are interested, please PM or email me.

Hello Bob!

Do you ever carry synthetic knots for your brushes?
