It has become very clear to me that the glory days of finding great shaving items at bargain prices on eBay are gone. I suppose it is partially due to the site's fees changing, with sellers now having to pay 12% of the sale price and also with eBay collecting state sales tax, which in my state adds 10% to the price. In addition, I think sellers - whether shavers or not - have become wise to the value of good shave products, especially vintage ones. It is now extremely rare to see vintage Floris or Penhaligon's shaving stuff offered. And shavers have become more likely to hold on to their valuable items, planning to use them or to sell them in the future for a profit, rather than listing them at reasonable asking prices. Oh, well. That's life.
