I said I wasn't. In case you guys are looking for a sleeper. Like an unnoticed deal that will be an epic score.

I don't think anyone would not notice a properly listed Toggle. If you have stuff you are listing on eBay and think we might be interested come on and let us know. Maybe it's something we are interested in but wouldn't have noticed without the heads up.

Not everyone who is in the market to buy checks eBay all the time and not everyone who wants to sell wants to deal with the peer pressure on the forums. I do think that knowing that the item you're considering on eBay is being listed by a forum member can be the best of both worlds. You know that the seller might reasonably know what they are listing and that you can follow up with them with questions before and after. Sellers can let their gear ride with the bids and not be chastised as much maybe for asking for any particular price.

I think it would be nice to see that kind of atmosphere fostered.

Since you're advertising it and it seems that you want to make some money, you should have at least cleaned it before putting it up for sale. A clean vintage razor, even a Toggle or any other premium vintage, has more value than a dirty one. That way it clearly looks like it's a flea market find and not a part of someone's collection.

I am not posting stuff that's up for auction
Help each other out. You see a great deal buy it now listing but can't pull the trigger?

Post a link here.

Are Auction listings OK?

of course you had to follow me around and reply after I posted a link to my auction. I don't recall seeing any posts from brucered after any other auction listings were posted in this thread.

thank you, sir! I think it's silly when 'live auctions' posts are banned on other forums. truth be told, I'm not sure why they are. I can't see any logical reason for it. ebay is what it is. sometimes you score good deals and other times you sell items and make money.

I really wish shaving forums would remove the negative stigma of people making a profit in the b/s/t and posting links to live ebay auctions. thankfully DFS exists..whew!

While I don't like the idea of advertising stuff sold off site, I guess there is no rule against it.

of course there's no rules against it...I helped to write the rules. Big Grin

I did a light cleaning on it. I'm not going to spend hours cleaning and polishing a razor that I'm selling if I don't feel like it, and I noted that in the auction description that it could use a good scrubbing and polishing to make the gold plating pop. people can bid accordingly based on this information..

just an fyi, I bought the toggle at an antique shop in Texas about a month ago. Smile

Tabac in the ceramic bowl for less than $16.

Looks like a good deal with free shipping. More than one available.

There have been deals for this on the website Perfumania but it was a pain to use discount codes and get in on the sale at the right time when they weren't sold out.

I have plenty of Tabac but saw this and am sharing. The bowls are very nice.
