I've found it easier to get BBS or close when shaving my scalp compared to shaving my face. It only takes one pass WTG and some minor touch up. My face needs WTG, XTG, and minor touch up just to achieve DFS.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thoughts on why?

As a daily head and face shaver, I think it's easier to get smooth up top because the hairs are not as coarse.

Yes. The top of my dome is BBS all the time Smile

But I do agree with you generally. The back fringe for me requires 2 passes with a bit of touch up. Part of the efficiency for me is I can use a more aggressive razor on the dome; my face requires a milder razor to avoid irritation. Maybe it is because there is less "soft fleshy" areas on the dome vs. face.

Good point, the skin is generally tighter across the scalp.

Perhaps tautness of skin on the dome?
