Just arrived from China via UPS and USPS. This is advertised as 316 CNC machined stainless steel. Some have said viewing from pictures only that it might be chromed but the finish is flawless so I say its stainless steel. The head resembles the infamous R41. The head appears to have postive blade exposure and a large blade gap. I will use a Kai blade and report back.

Cannot remember where, but there were side by side pics posted and the clone seems to have a bit more exposure.

they And way more blade chattering ,also .
But nevertheless is actually nicely made.
They do state that this is only the first
version and maybe has few flaws .
If the next version(s) is (are) more precisely
made and flawless ,my guess is that
this razor will sell like crazy .
A stainless steel R41 (or clone ) was and is long awaited by many wet shaving enthusiasts.

It has to be 316L (more precisely the chinese
grade 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 ) ,cause I have seen the side by side pics with the original chrome plated R41. Chrome plating is characteristically blue tinged ,while the nickel & molybdenum content of the 316L grade steel is  manifested with a rather yellowish sheen .

DSZ0 at left ,Muhle R41 at right .
Notice the hue difference.

P.S : SAE 303 & SAE 304 steel grades,
have also a rather blue sheen when polished. They are far more difficult to
tell the difference versus a chrome plated alloy, than the yellowish 316L.

I couldn't resist a one pass shave face and chin area. Very aggressive almost like the 2011 R41 and equal to the Yaqi slant. But the build quality is very nice. I didn't notice any more chatter then my Timeless Ti OC SLIM but thats me. The head is flatter then the R41. This is only version V1 so will see if they make some changes. You can go wrong for $35

There is a pic over on another forum that shows the blade not being fully clamped because the base plate isn't straight... As you can see by the soap that is trapped in the middle only and this was after being rinsed!!

I think the threaded post is connected to the cap, not one piece of steel

Got mine today as well. Just walked in literally about an hour ago and the package was on the table. Quick inspection and look over, all looks decent. Didn’t install a blade but, I’ll put in a Nacet and see how it looks alignment wise tomorrow and go from there. Liking the looks of the handle quite a bit.....

Well, well. That was not what I was expecting. The DS-ZO actually shaved well, very well as a matter of fact. It’s a clone of the Legendary Muhle R41 but, done in Stainless Steel alloy. Quality is quite good, tolerances are very precise and shave feel was really impressive. Very good blade feel with better than average smoothness. No, it’s not a mild razor but, it’s not a face peeler neither. More shaves to follow to really get a good assessment. It’s a trial run razor first release and it has some real good potential. Like I said before, more shaves to follow and see how it turns out with a few more shaves....

Couple pics of the razor components. Quality & feel is surprisingly very good. Besides the underside of the top cap not being cleaned out on finishing, it doesn’t affect the blade seating or positioning whatsoever and fitment is good with no play at all...

Those are really strange milling traces left on the middle section, underneath the cap.
Really strange.
They do not represent the typical computer numerical control milling patterns.
I can almost see what kind
of cutting tool was used.

It’s like it has been done manually.

The rest of the finishing and polishing
looks superb !

While this is only focusing on the appearance of the razor, first thing that struck me as well. The AliExpress web address refers to the cap markings as 'processing traces' & that 'this is not a craft, perfectionist, please choose carefully!. It also looks like the polished finish may be variable for internal surfaces as one of the images for the top middle section of the base plate area shows what appears to be machining marks. Polishing of the base plate  also looks pretty severe by the degree of the oval shaping of the holes at the surface area  & this seems to be consistent in all of the images.

As indicated, only focusing on the appearance as performance is a more important aspect.
