I had almost forgotten that I had a tube of this gem from Uruguay stashed away. I bought it years ago from a U.S. vendor who no longer carries it when I had first started DE/SE shaving and was explicitly using creams. However, the co. has now established a website in the USA for sales here and I cannot recommend this one enough. I have a tube a of the green lavender cream. Yes, I said green. The actual cream looks like alien blood!  Tongue  Regardless, this puppy performs!! I have read that the stearate they use is tallow based for those who wonder about these things. It is super slick & easy to lather with a very good aftershave "face feel". It's great for those who like trying old time exotic stuff from distant lands.  Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

I have a bowl. Used one two years ago and really liked it. I seem to remember that the bowl is out of production.

Any idea if the cream is the same scent? It's not exactly what I would call traditional Lavender. And yeah, neon green.

Good stuff if it's like the bowl. The bowl was a puck despite saying cream on the box. That stuff is one of the SLICKEST soaps I've every used.

I had a tube of Dr. Selby's Lavanda, and miss it. Glad to know there's a website now.

It is my opinion Dr. Selby is no longer selling in the States. The bowl was discounted a few years ago because of poor molds used for the tub. I had several conversations with the last distributor located in North Carolina. He sold me approximately 20 tubes for about $25 and was looking for someone to purchase the rest of his inventory. The new website has a phone number of 555-555-5555???? It appears that there is no more Dr. Selby available. If I am wrong let me know

Well, I can understand with the explosion of homegrown USA artisan soap makers nowadays. I have long lost my yearning for exotic, foreign old school creams after trying several years ago. The only one I could not get that I really wanted was the Brut cream in a tube made in Brazil and now discontinued. Sad
