gone to Carolina in my mind
Like Marko, I've been thinking about this since Lipripper660's OP.  In a nutshell, I view happiness, satisfaction, and joy as three important but different things. My collections no doubt pale in comparison to many, but they absurdly exceed my needs, and they include several very fine items.  For better or worse, I've gotten a good deal of happiness and satisfaction from collecting, but precious little joy.  I get my joy in the same way others have so eloquently described in this thread.  I'm grateful for that.

This is where I am at also. I only truly find joy with my wife, family and job.
