I shower after shaving, but I don't re-wash, just rinse. Then apply witch hazel or aftershave when I get out of the shower.

interesting that you say that. I find that I often get a few white heads on my head after shaving it......assuming that's what you're talking about.

The only soap that touches my face is the shaving variety. I don’t wash the rest of my face at all except for water.

I’ve been doing it for about 6-9 months and my skin has never been better. Go figure

I wash my face with Noxema after I shave. Then WH, moisturizer, AS

A man, without force, is without the essential dignity of humanity. Human nature is so constituted, that it cannot honor a helpless man, although it can pity him; and even this it cannot do long if the signs of power do not arise.

I'm not a head-shaver but I will get white heads on my cheeks and neck if I don't consistently use the WH. After making that discovery, I've consistently used the WH on neck/cheek/chin/lips to prevent them from popping up.

I judge soap performance primarily by post shave performance as I have found, for me, most soaps provide plenty of slickness and shave performance if the lather is produced correctly.
I apply the leftover lather on my face while I clean my brush then rinse my blade and razor. Then I rinse my face with cold water. I guess this could be considered a light wash. I then apply my WH followed by final clean-up and application of AS.
This seems to work best for me.
