I noticed you drink a Canadian ale!
Hey, can you find Rush beer?! They did a limited run. Sorry, it is late, I should just be quiet and go to bed!

Dinner looks very good!

That’s Soda pop you know- you’d call it just soda I think. We call it pop. No alcohol but it does mix well with rye whisky or is it whiskey?  I can never keep those straight. Well, I can drink it straight, but… never mind

I was tired when I posted and didn't take the time to show Alan what I was talking about! Canada Dry is our preferred soda in this household! I grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the UP, making me a Yooper!), and we called everything pop. Moving to Maine in 2000, I had to learn to call is soda, as I was teaching high school at the time and the students thought it was so funny when I used pop! I also had to learn that tennis shoes out here are called sneakers, and many Mainers refer to hamburger as hamburg. I travelled for two days through Ontario and Quebec back then while moving, and still miss pommes frites!

The Rush beer I was referring to was recently commissioned by the band, allegedly due to a joke the bass player, Geddy Lee, made in 2015 backstage when they were served a limited edition beer with another rock band's name, and Geddy said, "why don't we have Rush beer?"

Thus, in collaboration with Henderson Brewing, Rush beer premiered last month! We can't get it, and I can't convince my wife to make a road trip to Montreal for a can of beer!!

I can’t keep all the colloquialisms straight.

You’ll get your pommes frites or just frites in Quebec or poutine. Out west where i live we’d call them fries, and yes I will sometimes sprinkle vinegar on them.

I wasn’t aware of Rush beer but again, being out west things take time to trickle down to us. I’ll hold out for Nickleback beer. Those boys are from a (very) small town just NE of where I live.

Yes, ginger is very good for GI tract issues.

Have you ever tried Ginger beer? It's ginger ale on steroids but still soda pop. I add ginger extract (homemade) to it to make the adult version. Mixed with some rum it's the adult with hair version. In keto I can sorta make it using keto ingredients and sparkling water.
