Mark released a couple new items today, one of which is a smaller sized set called Himal that looks intriguing (2.5oz soap and 2oz AS for $21).

To keep the mini pass going, The 1st to private message me can be the next to try the 2 samples which will still have plenty in them after I give them a try.

Perhaps you saw yesterdays debacle where the horse of a razor threw me after a couple bucks. I attribute it to a little unawake and a LOT the Blade choice (Shark Platinum) which is a blade brand fine in other razors but may have been a dud from the pack. I've heard they can be hit and miss. Gave it another try while sampling this soap which was outstanding !

Thanks to Dave in KY I received the sample materials today.  I plan to shave with one of the samples tonight or tomorrow morning.

Let me offer Marhos24 and mrdoug the belated, but sincere, "Thank You" that I carelessly omitted before.  And thank you again Dave in KY. 

I shaved with Hot Laguna Nights earlier this evening and was very impressed.  Although I generally face lather, Hot Laguna Nights is soft enough to easily scrape and smear into a bowl.  I also was impressed with the lather.  It was easy to build, took a lot of water for me too, and was quite slick and protective.  OTOH I did notice that my skin felt dry between passes and also at the end of the shave.  This was not a problem really, because there was no irritation, and I addressed the dryness with some post-shave skin food.  As for scent, I chose Hot Laguna Nights over Masters of the Green because the scent of Hot Laguna Nights was stronger and more to my liking off the jar.  The scent - a delightful summer scent IMO - lingered nicely on the brush too.

Tonight's Denton Majik shave was with Masters of the Green soap.  In contrast to Hot Laguna Nights, which to my nose was a moderately strong and very pleasant warm weather scent, Masters of the Green, was pleasant but faint.  The Masters lather performed very much like Laguna, which is commendable but not surprising, as both soaps are Game Changer base.  Like Laguna, the Masters built a nice lather easily, drank loads of water, and performed well in terms of slickness and protection.  OTOH the lather once again left skin my dry between passes and at shave's end.  And once again, because the dryness was irritation free, some skin food made everything right.

I am not quite willing to put Denton Majik on the same shelf as my top tier favorites, at least not yet, after only two shaves.  However, I do think highly of Denton Majik.  I ordered their KuSaFiRi title.  KuSaFiRi is described as an homage to Ralph Lauren's Safari for Men, which rang my bell loudly, and even if my lather experience does not improve, it is still good enough to provide an enjoyable BBS shave.  Plus there is no arguing with the price.  These soaps are indeed a bargain!  At the moment though, I know what I need to about Denton Majik, so I will be passing the samples along.  First PM requesting CONUS delivery gets them, and FWIW, I wholeheartedly encourage you to give them a shot.  MilkCrate?
