Gents, this topic has always perplexed me and I seem to have a difficult time finding any info out there.

Question: how can you tell the difference between the Batches...B1 through B7? Other than feel, is there a way to visually tell the difference?

Thanks in advance!

Visually they all look mostly the same. I doubt even The artisan wouldn’t have a hard time distinguishing knot from knot without remembering the handle he set it in.

I don't think there would be an easy way. A person well versed in the history that has experienced them him or herself and has done much reading of others experience would do a better job. I've reliably bought brushes that look like a certain grade of hair to me, say as such Rooney 3-band Heritage, and while it was that grade, it didn't have exactly what I wanted as I was going from the memory of a previous brush I owned. That's sample variance there, though. Last one I bought I was certain would be what I wanted, and I was right.
