Declaration Grooming 30mm knots

Hi I'm thinking to get a 30mm declaration knot, I know the only way to do this is to send him a Handel and buy the knotting service, just wondering if anyone who has done this could share there experience with a 30mm declaration knot. I'm thinking to get B3 but just abit worried it may be to big, also if anyone has any pictures of a 30mm declaration please share would love to see thanks

I think you would need to send him a handle that has an opening of probably 32 mm. Most of his knots require an opening that is 1-2 mm larger than the nominal knot size. In the past I always followed his recommendations for opening size that is posted on his site.

"Requested hole sizes (depth is less important than diameter):
24mm 1" diameter, ~15mm deep
26mm 1 1/16" diameter, ~15mm deep
28mm 1 1/8" diameter, ~15mm deep
30mm 1 1/4" diameter, ~16mm deep"

The size calculates to 31.75, also a 32 mm hole needs to be drilled.

Ok I'm not sure about the exact details but I normally just forward that picture on to whoever is making the handle and they should know what to do.

I have a 28mm DG B14. It's a huge knot. 30mm would be for Andre the Giant's face. ;-)

Ok I see I also have a few of his standard 28mm but always wanted to try the 30mm. Iv decided to get a B3 30mm I spoke to someone who said is not really bigger than a Simpsons chubby 3 which I really enjoy

I have a few DG.  One of them is B11.  Knot about 29-30.  Tight knot.  Lots of hair!  I don't have a huge face, but I like this knot (although the B15 is better for me).  I also have a Varlet with a 29 HD knot (not XD).  I like Varlet better on the face (in the middle in the photo).
