Wow, nice bloom on that knot!
It was still damp from use. I’m a big fan of Semogue’s boar brushes. I’ve got several and they all break in nicely, perform well and don’t shed much or at all
Decemboar 1
Ever-Ready 150 with Maggard Razors premium boar (thanks again, Paul mrdoug!)
Gillette pre-War Tech
German Red (my name for the Personna Platinum Chromes out of Germany!)
MWS Sensitive Skin
First pass was very thin lather, even after a minute's load, but I reloaded for 30 seconds and the 2nd was bee-yute-afull! Followed the same plan for the third pass. Overall, I had a great start to DecemBoar! I hope you do, too!

First Day of DecemBOAR!
Razor: Merkur 34G
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: Omega 49
Soap: Proraso white
A/S: Proraso white balm
I just passed my second anniversary of gentlemanly shaving. Tonight I return to my original setup. At two years old, this brush (my first brush) is wonderfully broken in and soft. My original 34C is out on permanent loan, so I replaced it a few months ago with an upgrade to G. After two years of accumulating and sampling many soaps, it is amusing to think that I was deliriously intoxicated by what I thought at the time to be the most divine soap scent on earth.

Proraso may be low rent but it a pretty good performer for the price. Every Proraso product has performed to a level far beyond other mass market shave gear (Gillette, P&G and such).
