Welcome to an offshoot of Daveli Farms Natural food market, Daveli Sheep Fat Shave Soap.
Our primary day to day job is raising our grass fed, grass finished beef, lamb, and goat to sell in our small Natural food market. A by-product of this endeavor is fat. Considering we spend so much time caring and tending to our animals, the fat is as prized for its qualities as the meat itself. We are not a soap or perfume company dabbling in shave soap. We raise and sell farm raised meats, and offer sheep fat shave soap as a side hustle. Being a shave enthusiast, I recognize the qualities and purity of the base ingredients of shave soap, especially sheep fat, to protect and nurse the skin through a multiple pass shave night. We sought out a local artisan soap maker that was up to my challenge of creating her version of the simplest, yet most protective sheep fat shave soap, with the fewest ingredients possible. After many trials and batches, we have finally hit upon a soap that does just that.
As a small farm shepherd, I am hands on with my animals from birth to butcher. I recover the raw fat from the butcher and render it down to its basic form, and from there it stays frozen until the soap maker thaws it for saponification to the Sheep Fat Shave Soap available to you now. We have worked hard to keep packaging and shipping to a minimum. The soap is essentially a "refill puck" that is soft enough for you to press into any container you wish to load from.
We were aiming for the best damn soap at the lowest price point on the market. I wanted users to have one of these 2 reactions after their first use;
"I got my money's worth with this purchase".
"He could have charged twice this price and it would still be worth it".
Everybody deserves to get the most for their money and I am no different. Daveli's hopes you feel the same after your purchase. I am required to have an operational website for soap sales here on DFS. The simplest and easiest method was to set up a FaceBook Market as part of our business FB page. I know many members dislike FB and I don't blame them. (While scrolling down, look to the left side of the page labeled "shop") So, if you would like personalized service I encourage you to call our business to place your order over the phone. We have a card machine to accept any form of payment. We also have a PayPal account associated with our business as another payment method.

Sheep Fat Shave Soaps we will be offering;

Green Tea Sheep Fat Shave Soap
Consider it a sweetly scented Fougere. A pleasant scent that pairs well with any pre or post shave skin toners.

Bergamot, Neroli, and Chamomile
A floral scent that is quite unisex. Different than the "rose" types on the market.

Satsuma Patchouli
So far, my favorite. Patchouli is secondary in the background. It demands you admire it's qualities every time you walk by.

Orange, cedarwood, oakmoss.
Right now, before curing, it's like an earthy orange...orange top note.

Here is the ingredient list breakdown for the Sheep Fat Shave Soap
Saponified Sheep tallow
Stearic acid
Shea butter
Olive oil
Glycerine
Lanolin
Fragrance

Congrats on the new venture being up and running!
What is the firmness like on the body soap and shampoo bars, are they on the softer end of the spectrum?
(I tested the first iteration of the shave soap, if that were used as a point of reference for comparison)

The beef tallow body bar would be the hardest density. The pork tallow body bar a little softer. Maybe same density as the shave soap. The shampoo bar is fairly firm. About as dense as the beef body bar. I cut one in half a month ago and Mrs Olschoolsteel has barely put a dent in it.

Quick note, I just remembered after I responded to you jesseix , we sold the last shampoo bar out the door just today. (have to update FB) I picked up more batches just now and told her I need a full batch of shampoo bars. Might be a week or two before I get them.

Got the Samsutra/patchouli shave soap. I need to cut it and let it cure. It might be ready next Fri or Sat. But. Body bars. She made up some peachy/mango beef tallow body bars and a hemp flower/oak moss pork tallow. This Peachy/mango is fantastic. We'll get those cut up, wrapped, and labeled so they should be ready by COB Wed.

Took delivery of more soap today. The shampoo bar is Citrus scent. And another log of Sheep Fat shave soap. This one is Orange, cedarwood, and oakmoss. Still tacky but it's like an earthy orange, with orange being the top note. Fairly based on one of the best soaps, OCB from Mikes. I had the soaper make me a new body bar combo too. It is clove/patchouli in equal but light doses in pork tallow.
Body and shampoo soaps should be cut and wrapped and ready by COB Wed afternoon. I need to let the Sheep fat shave soaps cure a bit before I wrap them.

3 new batches getting ready to be cut for a few days curing time.
1. Green Tea with stronger scent. (due to customer feedback)
2 Peachy-Mango (our best selling body soap scent. seemed like a natural to add this scent to the shave soap line)
3 Blueberry/pomegranate/Vanilla Oh boy does this stuff smell fantastic

Cut and drying.
Mrs. Olschoolsteel caught a mistake I made. The berry soap is cranberry/pomegranate/vanilla. I was mistaken because that's what I asked for, but the soaper was not confident the blueberry EO scent would make it through the hot process. But the pomegranate could and did.
Now, imagine yourself walking into a farm raised frozen meat store and you are knocked down by the scent of the CPV sheep fat shave soap.

Thats what's goin on in here right now.
