Neat sounding soap, and a good-looking Overlander!
I think we are of the same age, so were young men by the mid-eighties, but I still got hooked on Stranger Things! It is set in the mid-eighties, but the protagonists are middle school to freshman HS age. Sort of sci-fi, thriller, horror if the Goonies, ET, and Stephen King are mashed!
Morning is my best time for contemplation with coffee.
And camping. I have great memories of it, as my Dad took us out almost all summer long, as he taught high school chem and needed to recharge! Mom was a home maker, and she often joked about how she enjoyed camping after the fun of packing for 5 of us and meal planning for a week or two! Then to come home and face the laundry.
Prior to Dad's heart attack in '74, we only tent camped. I remember being "trapped" inside, but loved playing all sorts of games or reading or listening to the rain. Dad would often have these big heavy canvas tarps and he'd rig up some awning coming off the tent, and pull the picnic table under it or we'd set up chairs if not table (some sites were remote power company land that allowed camping). What I had driven from memory were the mosquitoes! But your comments brought it all back. Other than a bear (or, most likely, a raccoon!) going through camp, the whine of a mosquito in the dark when you are tucked up in your sleeping bag is the scariest thing, ha ha! This is when I probably first learned of Murphy's Law, the part about just as you fall asleep is when the whine is heard followed by the bite!
