Beautiful spine work on the Boker Dave in KY! The display idea sounds cool too, can’t wait to see it.

Sorry to hear about the Boker/straights Dave, but it sounds like you're doing the right thing.  Coming to grips with things is not always a fun ride. ...

A GEM of a SHAVE !!

Tuesday December 8, 2020
Razor: Blackland Sabre Lvl 2
Blade: Gem (1)
Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft Silvertip
Soap: Ethos Succès
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Ethos Succès SFS
Fragrance: Ethos Succès EDP

So my Sabre from Black Friday landed last night and you know what had to happen this morning Big Grin I had been interested in this razor for some time and read as much as I could when I'd see a post about it with detail. Many posts indicated to me for efficiency I was going to want the Level 2. Problem is I would read some posts about it being better than the Level 1 but still too mild which I took for not getting the smoothness I require from every shave (Yeah, I'm one of those guys Rolleyes) Let's just say I had to watch the angle from time to time, not that it was gonna bite me but to maintain the optimal cutting angle for efficiency. I had a comfortable and CLOSE shave even though I had some leftover "rawness" from yesterdays straight razor shave. I was cautious in getting this razor but am SOOOOO happy with the purchase and another amazing razor from Blackland Razors Thanks Shane ! A worthy Den Mate to the Vector which is my Grail SE Razor ! Have a GREAT day DFS !!!!

Posting Freak
Love the Dirty Harry clip[  Happy2  and I agree about knowing ones limitations, however, sometimes its not about limitations but rather how much time and trouble one wants to invest in pursuit of a particular goal.  I know that I was intrigued with the idea of straight razor shaving at one point so I investigated what was involved in the process and....nope.  Theres not enough time in my day to go down that road the way it ought to be gone down.  All respect to you guys who are doing it but that's a road I choose not to go down.   Big Grin
