CRSW Glide Review:

This is my first try with the new GLIDE soap base from CRSW. This soap is extremely soft, and I would almost classify this as a cream. For that reason, I would recommend lathering in a bowl of face, after taking some out with your hand or scoop.

In Comparison to the Regular Select line, the shave its basically identical, which says a lot, since the select formula is one of the best I have ever tried. Nonetheless, I really see this GLIDE line as a perfect companion for the weekend, due to the extra time required to load the soap and use a bowl. IT really is a treat to shave with, and one that shouldn't be rushed, but rather, enjoy with no time limitations. In that regards, I believe its a perfect addiction to the CRSW Brand. We can use the Select Line for the week and treat ourselves with the GLIDE formula for a relaxed weekend shave.

Scent wise, this instantly reminded me of Oud wood, one of my favorite scents from Tom Ford. Its probably around 60% similar to Oud wood, which makes it a perfect match. It has that spicy-oud combo that people just fall in love with.

If you enjoy a luxurious feeling shave, you ought to try the Glide line, and more so, specifically the Olfactory Hue scent. As always, the aftershave lotion is phenomenal (best I have ever tried) and even the new Aftershave Splash smells identical to its soap form.

Thanks for the review, herbert7890! I haven't tried CRSW Glide, yet, but it's definitely on my list!

So, you had no sensitivity to the scent? I heard this soap has a fairly strong scent and that can sometimes cause issues.

I wouldn't call Olfactory Hue a strongly scented soap at all. Not overpowering by any means. I'm on all the forums and have seen no one complaining of sensitive issues. On the contrary I've seen people wishing it was stronger. I think it's a perfect level. I'm tiring of strongly smelling soaps.

Nice review! I’m always looking for new products but never heard of this range - will definitely try!

I was asking the OP if he experienced any issues, because I understand his skin can be problematic at times as can mine. I have not tried or smelled any of the Glide shaving soaps as of yet. Thank you for your opinion, stormtrooper.

Thank you, sir! That's exactly what I was hoping you would say! This was the scent that sounded the best to me.

After a couple of months using this soap, it has become a favorite. It performs great for straight shaves and doesn't leave any unpleasant residue after rinsing.
I find the scent very addictive and its level just about right. I face-lather with a Simpson Manchurian brush and have not experienced any issue doing so.
Having more experience with harder soaps, it took me a couple of shave to dial-in the right amount of water to obtain a proper glide, but it is well worth the effort.
I usually only keep a couple of soaps on hand and foresee keeping a Glide (the upcoming Morning Ghost sounds appealing) on my counter.
