ust finished my turn with the H&S Copper razor with the accompanying selection of Ethos soaps. I must admit that when I participated in the previous H&S passarounds of the TI, SS both closed and open comb, dual and mixed metal I found that despite the excellent fit and finish they were just a bit harsh and I passed on securing one. My Wolfman WR2 1.25 and 1.45 just fit the bill for me. However I still respected the razors Aji created and have watched his growth with interest. The copper was a different story. My first shave was after a normal 3 pass with the 1.45 the day before with a Polsilver. I found the H&S Copper with the supplied Nacet to be a very pleasant surprise after my previous experience. Not harsh at all, efficient, long lasting and quite enjoyable. Either my technique approved or I just got it with the Copper. Softer metal - perhaps. My second shave was with 2 days of growth and it great to use an open comb again as I sold my two timeless dual combs (TI and SS) about a year ago. I forgot how nice an open comb is after a day off. Just mowed it down with nary a worry.  Repeated the pattern (shave next day, took 2 days off, shave again) and the positive experience repeated itself. Overall I was impressed and would recommend the razor for both efficiency and comfort.

On to the Ethos soaps. I consider Frank a shaving friend and have always valued his opinion even if I do not always agree with him. I have Greenfresh, Lavender, Colonia and DB V2 in my collection. I have been on a soap sabbatical for over a year now as I over 25 soaps. I have finished or given away about 5 which is a good thing as I tired of chasing the next whatever. My goal is to reduce In my experience I consider Ethos to be my go to soap. I admire what Frank has created, the ingredients, choice of size, his process, communication and willingness to work with you to create something custom. I love the slickness, scents and overall feel both during the shave and post shave. I also highly recommend Ethos Skin Food for a happy ending so to speak.

My thanks again to Dan for organizing and to Aji and Frank for thier generosity and passion to create the tools we need to elevate a humble task to something I always look forward to.

Sorry for the delay guys, some health issues, miss communication on my end and failing body parts. So setting here a week post surgery getting back on track. Here is my first post a month ago in the wrong forum.

Well another great community gig brought to us by Dan. Absolutely honored to have an opportunity to us a product that otherwise I wouldn’t know it was on the radar. Thank you Dan for all you do for the hobby and here at the forum.

OK enough of the niceties and down to business. To let you know I generally like mild plus but effective razors. The conflict I deal with is my easy weep skin and thick hair. My skin is dry and have found myself rushing through shaves making for more problems. The P076 by H&S will let you know not to be in a rush. I took the time to read up about the razor and found what I already knew. The razor has a touch of positive blade and I am struggling a bit with the razor. I have a couple of shaves in now and may have a plan of an angle adjustment and bring in the Viking Sword blade any time I am having trouble with razors like this. Don’t get me wrong, just looking for perfection in the final product. So if I fix a weeper or five along my neck we will have perfection.

I will add more about this beauty next post, but I do want to give a big shout out about this handle ergo. This thing is so enjoyable to shave with just for handle ,design alone. I could see where it would or could work for :any hand sizes

[Image: aksSjYP.jpg]Sorry for the delay in posting, I am getting back on track after surgery.
Well, the H&S razor is a beautifully machined tool, albeit I am not to keen on copper. I like to let a patina form and to develop that on the copper to be appealing you would have to do a simple forced patina to get it stated off right. To let it develop normally would be to spotted and not look uniform. I would much prefer this in a machined finish or better yet a fine sand blasted type finish. YMMV
I have been shaving with one hand and it has taught me things I would never have learned. I haven’t even been able to use my on hand at all. Oddly it slowed me down, made me hyper aware. I have been getting two pass shaves that the speed of shaving normal never allowed. Rush through three passes and supper buff. I would shave with the off hand using a straight razor, but I could use the other hand to skin stretch, which I cannot do now.
Enough babbling about me let’s talk about the wonderful kit;
The Ethos soap or “coap” as I refer to soft soap is some of if not the highest quality coap I have used. The amount of fragrance is very high. I couldn’t use the Greenfresh due to one of the EO’s, I did nor try to figure out which one and moved on to the Eucces and Lavender. I had a bit of problems learning to lather this, however it quickly came back to me from the last pass around. Top notch lather, a pleasure to use. The jars held up better than last time, however there was a small crack in one.
Now onto the razor, wow unlike some I loved this handle. I guess there just needs to be a choice of one a bit longer for the big guys. The razor had much more blade exposer than I can use, but if you go slow and use nil pressure it can be done, even for my easy weep neck. The Red Persona was the best in this unit for me.
I hope everyone has a great Thanks Giving extending to your loved ones and your associates. Again hats off to Dan, I don’t think there is a more well rounded member promoting shaving. I look forward to getting this cast off and learning to live with my new wrist.

Just curious if someone knows what the blade exposure measurement is? All I’ve read is that it is positive, no actual number.
Thanks

Aji's nomenclature reveals both blade exposure and gap e.g.: P076 is translated as Positive blade exposure with 0,76mm gap while N074 is Neutral blade exposure with 0,74mm blade gap.

This quite nice convention ala some German manufactures wherein the model designation indicates chassis type and motor displacement

Thanks. Yes his naming easily lets you differentiate between his models. I was wondering what the actual measurement of blade exposure is though.
Thanks

Per Aji, the P models have 0,08mm of positive blade exposure.

What are the differences between the light polish and full polish options?
