I think MANY people would exceed 750 in a bidding scenario because….. UNUSED NEW OLD STOCK, with receipt, original packaging, even the shipping package from Bullgoose with postal date is a rare acquisition for the discriminating buyer.  I have always purchased back ups of everything I REALLY like…not limited to razors. Over the years I’ve boasted this razor one of three BEST OF THE BEST SE and I hold firm on those 3.  Back into the vault, we ‘ll bring her back out at the 10 year anniversary….

Do you own more than 1? I remember after I received mine I wanted to buy a back up, but I changed my mind and never got another. I thought about it for days and kept adding it to my cart until they were sold out.
Yes, I have one I use and this new one.  It originally wasn’t purchased as a backup, I purchased it for my brother and he said “you’re late to the game per usual, you have to get up much earlier to beat me in a razor drop.”  He already had his so this new one became a backup.  This razor is “still” waaaaay ahead of its time.  The magnet alone set the tone for separating itself from all the others, It’s a functional piece of art.

Speaking of back up razors as well as the “Best 3 SE Razors of All Time”……..here’s another still sealed in its original packaging

I'm not a collector, I'm a user.  The best parallel I can draw, I wore mechanical watches for years.  When the Apple watch came out, I switched to a 300 dollar watch and sold off my collection of Swiss watches.

So you will see me buy and sell things often, because I just enjoy trying different razors and I'm not attached to any.

I get it, I'm the odd person out here, but I've never really fit in anyhow... on purpose... :-)
Mike, we did NOT pick you last in dodgeball did we?

Not odd to me, I’m right there with you. I’m not one for backups on hardware because if I’m going to spend that extra money I’d rather try out something else. And I don’t anticipate my razors wearing out to where I’ll need a replacement…
Same with software, mostly because it takes me forever to work through a full soap/splash, and I know that by the time it would come to replace it there will be something new I’ll want to try (with a fresh scent, not something that’s several years old).
To be honest I’m always baffled when people are selling off huge stockpiles of one item because they bought a dozen of the same soap… I could’ve told y’all way back when you bought those that you’d never make it through those when you’re rotating through umpteen other soaps! Cool

+1, not odd Mike. 1 UNIT is definitely enough especially if it works well for you and you love the instrument.

If you have 3 sons aged 12-17 growing up around good gear and you’ve done nothing but get them excited about your gear….. you’re going to have a problem on your hands, promise.  One calls the other Golden Child, the other calling dibs on this brush, that razor, and on and on.  Everyone up front and center sitting around an unopened mail call.  I can smell the tension in the air.

Wish I would have kept more than I have as time moves forward….I wish soaps and splash came in 2oz kits, I’d try so much more.

Guys, any value in an extra RS10 aggressive plate?

I got a razor with 3 plates from a friend here.  Not sure what to do with both A plates.  Not a collector.

Thanks,

Mike

How much does a LASSC BBS-1 with a stand with the extras go for these days? Curious just how insane the price I found is.
