Salve a tutti di nuovo!
recentemente navigando in rete riguardo i nostri amatissimi rasoi questo brand che sicuramente tutti voi conoscerete,ma che per me e' stata una vera e propria scoperta: Colonial.
Purtroppo il sito e' in stand by per, a quanto ho capito, lo spostamento della sede della compagnia che li produce, in altra sede. Ho potuto comunque vedere i due modelli prodotti dai due fratelli che conducono questa produzione:" The General" ed "The Silversmith".Devo dire che quest'ultimo , come estetica, assomiglia molto al modello " Athena" di Lambda, mentre il primo, "The General" ha una bella fattura. qualcuno di voi li ha provati o li possiede??....Mi piacerebbe avere i vostri pareri su questi rasoi per me completamente nuovi....

I must say that the latter, in terms of aesthetics, is very similar to the "Athena" model of Lambda, while the first, "The General" has a beautiful workmanship. I've owned both the Silversmith and tried two versions of the General.

The Silversmith was too similar to the Tatara and I sold it. Fairly mild but very smooth razor.

The General again is on the milder side without a Pro Super blade. I tried the brass and the v2. The brass was very smooth but pretty heavy for an AC razor. The v2 has a much smaller head but the shave results are similar. I preferred it over the Vector. The La Faulx provides a similar shave and is available. And you can up the efficiency with the plus plates and the open comb.

Unique looking handles with a minimalist design.

They have been working on a DE for quite some time and stopped production of the General to focus on the new razor. Supposedly, it will come with a choice of baseplates.

The General v3 is a possibility in the future. Expect a long wait as the new DE is their focus now.
