I have a Rancilio Miss Silvia and I’m thinking maybe I might want to upgrade her.

You know we’re just looking for that perfect shot. You know, the one we approach but never quite reach…

Rancilio is a good one no question but I went all in and plan to keep this Rocket for some time, for that perfect shot I’m almost there but the key is also having a good decent grinder cannot cheap out on grinder there is huge difference the one I got is Eureka Specialita “Mignon” and it’s fantastic for dialling up and down with perfect consistency and also you can easily upgrade few things on it such as single dose hopper and Eureka king size dial which I have done!

For the scale only I would recommend Varia true tried tested and quite handy with its size and give you all you need when extracting coffee 18gr of beans in 36gr of coffee out!!

You can also check out Mark from TheWholleLatteLove he does great reviews on pretty much anything and great demonstrations and comparisons on all brands!!

Thanks, Alan.
I"ll have a look at the Normcore.

I'm contemplating getting into expresso, more thoroughly, and so I might try to get the Cafelat Robot as it's quite affordable, well made and quite unique looking. Smile

Why limit yourself to just one rabbit hole!  Coffee generally and espresso specifically is a wonderful obsession.

Oh, I've been down a few rabbit holes, already; guitars, shaving, and, now, coffee. Greatly, enjoying pour-over using mainly the Hario Switch, but want to start experimenting with expresso, and the Robot seems like a good place to start. I picked up a Delonghi Stilosa from Facebook marketplace, but I'm not really enjoying the machine that much; would rather use a manual one.

I use the Hario v60. I haven’t tried the switch yet. I’ve been roasting beans for a while now and I’m enjoying the results. I’m currently roasting with the Aillio Bullet

I'd highly recommend trying the Switch if you'd like a very balanced, sweet and flavourable cup of pour-over.
It might be the most versatile conical brewer there is.
Here are a few recipes for it, in case you ever do get it.

You know, I’ve been quite happy with my cup and really saw no reason to change……. but now a little seed has been planted. What if I could actually improve on what I’m doing? Why settle for peak performance when you can push a little harder? Damn.  Dodgy

Change is always a positive movement, regardless of the outcome. Who knows, you might find something intriguing or worthwhile in doing so.  Big Grin
