Back in June, I bought two soaps from Ron (proprietor of Scheermonnik) and I wanted to end up getting a pass around started up on the DFS Forum. I live in Naples, Italy so shipping from him in the Netherlands is much cheaper than going all the way Stateside. The first shipment never arrived; Ron asked me to wait at least 8 weeks to see if they would come, if not he would send another shipment. They did not arrive in that time period and to this day, they still haven't arrived...some Italian out there is enjoying my soaps
Eventually, in late July, Ron sent another package but this time, we used track & trace. I received them in middle August while I was on vacation. I used the Soek soap and really enjoyed it, I thought the lather was easy to build, it was extremely slick, residual slickness was top notch, and the post shave feel was superb. I only had to get the last scent to showcase for the pass-around so that everyone could get a smell of the three available scents. I had tubs of the first two: Soek and Delfswit but I didn't have the Donderslag. I was able to order a sample of the Donderslag from Shavedash and it arrived in early September. I am now ready to get this pass-around started.
I will be sending a full tin of the Delftswit (scent description: A woody scent that has notes of Italian bergamot, apple wood, tonka bean, patchouli, cedarwood, and oakmoss. Finished with cardamom, vanilla bourbon and allspice).
I will send a sample of the Soek (scent description: A blend of myrrh and orange with middle notes of ginger, cinnamon and cloves; it is then rounded out with caraway seed and vanilla to give it a warm, soothing feeling. This scent is a fine balance of spice, warmth and sweetness).
I will also send a sample of the Donderslag (scent description: A deep fragrance with black amber and Parisian lavender ccmbined with black myrrh, dulcet vanilla, tonka bean, and a splash of Egyptian musk and clary sage).
I will send a PM to the first member on the list to request their mailing address; be advised that I am shipping from a military post office in Naples, Italy and it will take a week to arrive.
Please use the soap around three times or so and please give us your impressions, photos would also be a nice bonus. Once you have finished using the soap, please send a PM to the next member for their mailing address and post it out soonest etc, etc. At the end of the pass around we can do a drawing for a giveaway.
Before sending it off to the next member, please ensure that the soap is presentable for the next member, i.e., you know what I mean.

Note: I've never done a pass-around; if there are better ways to run it, please don't hesitate to speak up, I will not be offended. A huge thank you to the DFS forum for allowing this special pass-around.
