Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting a cheap synthetic brush. I'd really like it to not be huge, soft, but be able to still mix well. Other than that, my only criteria is that I have to be able to buy it on Amazon.

I was thinking RazoRock? Maybe this one?

What says you? I never got into brushes, so ... I could use your help. Thanks.

They are nice brushes. Check Italian Barber prices as well.

I have a brush with that same knot, and enjoy it a lot. Very soft, has a very slight amount of backbone, but is easy to use with most kinds of soaps and creams. That model seems to be sold out on Italian Barber, and with shipping would probably end up being slightly more expensive than the Amazon option, anyway.

I would imagine that most users would like that brush. Even if you were into high-end badger brushes, a brush like this could still be a nice change of pace, or something to take along when traveling.

My Fendrihan brush has fabulous backbone and is very reasonably priced (https://www.amazon.com/Fendrihan-Synthet...0731KK2JW/)

This is why I did not hesitate to give my Maggards brush away to a better home.

Thanks Matsilainen I don't want stuff just for the sake of having it. The change might be nice.

The Fine 'stout' synth is a little bit pricier at $30 but I love mine. Less loft, heftier handle than the RR synths (neither of which are necessarily better or worse, just mentioning the differences for if you're comparing your options).

I can highly recommend that brush, I use that one when I travel, and I've given away a few to people getting into wet shaving. Razorock makes a solid no fuss brush that just works.

I considered that one (RazoRock) but got the Omega Hi-Brush instead. Omega makes brushes of the highest quality, in my experience. I use the Hi-Brush most often and really enjoy it.

I'm sure the RazoRock brush is very good, too.

P.S. I got the Hi-Brush for about $14 US. I see it is now about $30. I don't know how that happened. I would not have paid $30.

I've been using this exact brush (with the 'Barbershop' handle in the photo) for the last couple of years. I like it--it's soft & dense, the handle is comfortable.
