If you haven't tried any of Chatillon Lux's products yet, you are in for a treat. I made my first foray into hawns world of fragrance and imagery inspired by his beloved city of St. Louis last January and I rapidly became a user of major proportions. His latest addition to the regular lineup is the TSM Fougere. This is a fragrance that Shawn originally custom made for The Shave Market but demand quickly made it a part of his regular lineup. If you want to read Shawn's own words about it look here http://www.chatillonlux.com/store/p52/TS...shave.html In my words I'll say its one of the most earthy, woodsy, natural smelling fougeres that I've smelled and it pairs wonderfully with the Barrister and Mann Fougeres - Imperiale/Aromatique/Beaudelaire.

If you're going to venture down this path you should be aware that Chatillon Lux offers most of his unique scents in 3 formats - aftershave, toner and salve. The aftershave is an alcohol based splash but way more conditioning and moisturizing than your average splash, the toner is like a splash with only a tiny bit of alcohol and more soothing conditioning stuff while the salve is a very nourishing concoction thats like a butter that is great in harsh wintery climates. There have been some LEs that aren't in the three formats, like Colbeck which came only in Aftershave and there was even a very limited TSM Fougere EDT which sold out super fast - the level of demand for EDT was unexpected.

hawns is a really creative guy who runs Chatillon Lux in his spare time - yup, like many of the artisans out there he has a day job and does the Chatillon Lux gig more for the love of it than anything else. He's also receptive to the idea of custom products as I learned through Project Bay. Chatillon Lux has earned a spot on my list of truly excellent shaving products. Happy2

Thanks, Mark! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It took more effort to develop than any other scent not named Bon Vivant and one in which I really wanted to challenge myself to do something special. I'm really happy it comes through on the scent.
