I may have to pick the rest when I go to St. Louis, if possible. Maybe we can have a cup of coffee hawns Smile

I know just the place! Or places, in fact. Blueprint Coffee, Sump, or Kaldi's are all outstanding choices for a cuppa. Although there's a kind of Soup Nazi vibe at Sump, honestly. Like a hipster Soup Nazi. Too bad the coffee's so good.

Would be very cool if you guys are able to connect! I went with the YRP today Shawn- the hardest part is trying to figure out which one to grab.

kwsher I know what you mean - I went with La Foret de LiGuest today to top off my Leviathan shave (thanks hawns ) and I'm really looking forward to my next shipment which should have some of that new stuff I've heard about and that you guys down south have been using for months! (ok, maybe a couple of weeksSmile)

I'd lke to meet this coffee nazi you guys are talking about too. Sounds like a kindred spirit. I'm particular about my coffee. Buy green and roast it, grind right before brewing, brew with pour over method. Everthing that touches the coffee must be meticulously clean. (not just rinsed!) If I'm making someone a cup I'll ask how they take it first. Any response other than hot and black and I'm reaching for the Maxwell House for them. Sad They're just not worthy.

You'll love the contraband Marko !

As to how I take my coffee: if my wife is within hearing distance my running joke-

"I like my coffee just like my women. Cold and bitter."

Never even a chuckle.

Classic. There's a few variations on that coffee preference none of which will endear you to your wife - unless they fit the description that is Smile

I grew up and worked on my family coffee farm in Puerto Rico all my life, so I'm extremely peculiar about my coffee. My mom sends me a batch religiously.

I have your address Cool We don't do retail any longer, but once a year, we fire up the ovens and make a big batch for the family. Now we grow it for Yaucono and Cafe Crema.

Re: the coffee nazi. He's not so bad. I just feel like I'm a disappointment because I like regular, black coffee, but don't know a ton about all the nuances in preparation. I have a French press I enjoy, sometimes a pourover. And that's my total knowledge base.

This is the dude, though. A little intimidating, but he does make a hell of a brew:

I'm on Tapatalk and saw this pic in the list of threads. I'm disappointed that it's not a picture of you, Shawn.
