I know just the place! Or places, in fact. Blueprint Coffee, Sump, or Kaldi's are all outstanding choices for a cuppa. Although there's a kind of Soup Nazi vibe at Sump, honestly. Like a hipster Soup Nazi. Too bad the coffee's so good.

I'd lke to meet this coffee nazi you guys are talking about too. Sounds like a kindred spirit. I'm particular about my coffee. Buy green and roast it, grind right before brewing, brew with pour over method. Everthing that touches the coffee must be meticulously clean. (not just rinsed!) If I'm making someone a cup I'll ask how they take it first. Any response other than hot and black and I'm reaching for the Maxwell House for them. They're just not worthy.

As to how I take my coffee: if my wife is within hearing distance my running joke-

"I like my coffee just like my women. Cold and bitter."

Never even a chuckle.

If I'm making someone a cup I'll ask how they take it first.  Any response other than hot and black and I'm reaching for the Maxwell House for them.  They're just not worthy.

I have your address We don't do retail any longer, but once a year, we fire up the ovens and make a big batch for the family. Now we grow it for Yaucono and Cafe Crema.
