I want to make a fanboy post about the aftershaves and toners over at Chatillon Lux. I do enjoy his fragrances, and he does some very creative things with them, but is post shave products are also really top-notch. They are the number one AS in my den behind B&M and Maol. It was their aftershave that got me hooked on the brand. Some of the aftershave scents are just fantastic: I love Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli and Gratiot League Square. They are great when you want to carry some sent but not necessarily as much as a cologne. Plus, the skin healing properties are excellent. Anyway, I just wanted to give props where they are due. Fanboy out.
I'm in lockstep here. Most of Shawn's fragrances are winners for me and it's awesome that we can get some of the best soaps available with his scents as well. I really like Lamplight Penance, Gratiot League Square, Sni Mato, and Admiral to name a few. Shawn is definitely a powerhouse when it comes to creativity in making all these awesome scents for us to enjoy with our daily shaves.

Still hoping/praying he brings back Blackberry Blossom Bay some day. Plus, I know Clamorgan didn't go over well with the masses, but I really love that one!

Yeah, I saw that. I already own the soap, 2 aftershaves and the EdT so I'm all set there, lol.

I couldn't agree more. I have several of Shawn's creative scents but his aftershave and post shave toner set a standard for me. I use his unscented versions most of the time because I want them to work with virtually any cologne or EdT I may choose to finish up my shave. Very often, I am really doubtful about reformulations. However, when Shawn tweaked his original formula way back when, the facial properties in the new version just blew me away.
hawns, I know that in another thread you stated that you were getting tired of some of the nastiness towards your (and other artisans’) products. As far as I'm concerned, you offer great quality and great service and that is what I most care about. The fact that there many be a scent or two that is not for me changes nothing of the respect I hold for you and your products. Cheers.
P.S. It's Chatillon Lux's Unscented Post Shave Toner and Lamplight Penance Parfum Extrait for the win this morning.

The aftershave has alcohol and the toner doesn't. According to Shaw, the scents are the same, but I feel like the toner has a little more scent then the aftershave. Just my opinion though. You don't use them together. You pick one or the other. You certainly can use the matching EDT, if one is available, on top of the toner or aftershave though. That is often a nice effect as they are usually slightly different.

That is one of my favorites. It's a fantastic scent and I get compliments when I wear it.
