Ummm why doesn't he just have someone else machine his razors? There's plenty of demand to fulfill minimum order requirements that most machinists ask for. 5 months just sitting around when a machinist can be cranking out razors just seems...strange.

In order to do that Brian said there would be about $40,000 in upfront costs.  Lot of cash to come up with when you are moving and buying a new house.

Used the Everyday again this morning but I really didn't need a shave. Yesterday was a late afternoon shave and I used an aggressive razor as I'm debating whether or not to sell it. I ended up using the Everyday for a touch-up/clean-up type shave this morning and did two passes on the goatee area (ATG & WTG) and 1 pass (ATG) everywhere else. It worked out very well. The mildness of the Everyday didn't cause me any irritation and I'm walking out the door with another BBS shave!

I also ended up buying a SS Level 2. Had back to back shaves with the level 2 and the Everyday and the Everyday seems only a bit milder (less efficient) than the L2, not by much though. The Everyday is like a level 1.8 to me.

The "new" handle is also very nice and very comfortable. Doesn't slip at all, and even though it's hollow, it doesn't feel too light.

I bashed it when it was first announced, but I'll eat my words and say I'm a fan Smile

All in all, both are amazing razors!

anyone able to compare this to a gen2 level 1 baseplate yet?

also, anyone know how much SS magnum and stinger handles were direct from CG before they were discontinued?

No but happy to compare if someone wants to loan me their Everyday Smile
Hopefully there will be a restock so you can test both.

Hey Mark Shavemd, just wondering what you think about these razors.

My Son now has my SS version he really liked it so I have the Brass only. I have found it to be very smooth, and would agree it falls just under my level 2 in terms of efficiency.  I can still get a very nice BBS shave with it but the duration is not quite as long as the level 2.  I'm still not a fan of loading the blade on the baseplate instead of top cap, but after the using other razors that do it, I'm getting more use to it.  I think it is a very well built razor and a good razor to recommend to someone new or who prefers less blade feel.
