Can we edit the header and start over on this thread because I think it can be a good one?

Marko, you are a gentleman and I believe your lady has done all the right things in molding you into someone special. Winking  What bothered me is the blunt atmosphere that is/was promoted.  I truly want this site to be open to all, both men and women, and I certainly did not get that feeling from the original post.

Freddy thank you for your kind words, I would agree with you that my wife has done a good job with me, although, like so many things, there is still so much work left to be done Smile I completely agree with you that DFS should be a forum where everyone should feel welcome and comfortable (and I think it is) and I appreciate your vigilance in making sure we are that kind of forum. There is no doubt that we can get complacent and every now and then even get a little inappropriate. I think its through the efforts of the members that we monitor each other and ourselves to ensure we all keep our sticks on the ice. I want to make it clear, however, that nothing will get me to like referees. Angry

Take off those aprons fellas, put the fancy 18th century writing implements down, take some time off from photographing pretty flowers, put down that thin, fancy, gold rimmed teacup, quit sniffing your perfumes for a minute and tell us what sort of things you enjoy, what kind of car you drive or want, how big was the fish you caught, your golf handicap, your favorite sports and teams, how much you can benchpress, what epic hike have you done lately, or whatever you enjoy.

I'll start - Waiting for warmer weather to play some golf with my buddies. Had a chance to play a few rounds on a recent business trip to the Caymans and that got my juices flowing. So yep, I'm a golf fiend, can't get enough. I like boxing and football. My team is Manchester City F.C. Currently driving a 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG with Performance package. This year marks my 3rd for skydiving, what a freaking blast this is!

What about you guys?

This is, truly, one of the most offensive posts I have ever seen here.  Take your testosterone somewhere else! Keep in mind that we welcome women on this site.  I am interestested to know what the female members have to say.  Keep in mind that many/most of our members are married and hearing from the female point of view of wet shaving is very important.  Please keep your sexismm to yourself.  Thank you.

I'm sorry you took offense as that was not my intention. I realize now we have some overly sensitive people here and in the future I'll try and sugar coat things so as not to upset the apple cart.

I like baseball and basketball, mainly my two favorite teams, the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons. I'm also really into cars, mostly classic Fords and hot rods/customs etc. I love to work on my own cars. I do all my oil changes, brake jobs or whatever else breaks that needs fixing. This way I can save a lot of money on car repairs! I don't own a classic at this point, but I will in the future when money and time allow. Prior to this wetshaving hobby, my primary wallet-drainer was my daily driver 2000 Ford Ranger. It's lowered on '05 Mustang GT wheels, billet grille, tinted windows, custom exhaust and a whole host of other mods. I've owned it since '06 when it had 33,000 miles. Now it's at about 210,000. Here's a couple pics from a few years ago:

we're not going to be talking about 'enjoying women' on this forum. my wife is on this forum, one of our mods is a female and we have a few female users currently on the site. one way to not grow the community is to push people away for petty reasons.

there's plenty of other places to do that, so please do it there.

I didn't have a problem with the original post and didn't think you were trying to be offensive, but I also don't think that kind of passive-aggressiveness is going to help your case here.

Back on topic though, one of my hobbies is machining, got a reasonable setup with a mill and lathe. Bit hard to find stuff to build though, once you realise you can make a ton of stuff the question becomes "why bother?". Been mucking around with a couple of brush handles lately though, but there aren't any big projects in the works. Might be getting a 2x72" belt grinder soon though, start working on some knives and maybe razors in the very far future. New toys, the foundation of way too many hobbies...

I have quite a few other interests...was going to post pics of them all, but...here is the list...

1. Off-roading both here in North Carolina and in Colorado in my 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser
2. Fishing with wife and son
3. Attending monster truck events with my son
4. Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, Pirates (my hometown teams, I get back as often as I can, with wife and son to visit family and attend sporting events)
5. Traveling with wife and son
6. Classic cars ( soon hoping to acquire a birth year (1972) fully restored Plymouth Scamp)
7. Visiting anything Military related (ships, battle fields, etc) (I was US Navy Corpsman 1990-94), teaching my son along the way about the military and the sacrifices made before us)
8. Teaching my son about responsible weapon ownership and operation - we are in the Air-Soft phase right now...

And there is more....but I have rambled long enough... Smile
