If interested in this pass around, reply in this thread and tell us what state you reside in.

As with the usual DFS pass arounds, please keep the razor for a week and then pass it on to the next person on the list. Once you get time, share your thoughts on the razor, whether positive or negative. Please give the razor a quick bath in alcohol or something similar when you receive it and before sending it out.

**Please be courteous to Sean for sending us such an expensive razor kit to try and insure the package for $900 when shipping it to the next person on the list. This is mandatory. If you don't insure the package and we find out, you'll be barred from future pass arounds we put together on DFS.**

I hope every one is doing well!

I just wanted to give all a quick heads up that we are no longer offering the Cx-Titan online. I have few units left and plan to keep some of them reserved for those left on the pass around....

We still plan to innovate this design and would still appreciate any feedback...

Stay safe everyone...

Late Review.  I have already reviewed the original Cx and the Ti Cx (with the original, +  and ++ plates).  I then received the Ti Cx with the new Titan Ti-Carbon Hybrid handle and the new minus (-) plate.  I wanted to focus my shaves on the original plate (my favorite) compared with the new mild plate...using the new Titan Ti-Carbon Hybrid handle.
At the time I had the Carbon in-house, I also had the H&S P076 17-4 for testing, just prior to sending the H&S out.  In my last H&S shave, I did a half face shave with each razor.
One of the best shaves of my life, had been with the H&S P076 Titanium razor, which I felt was better than any of the Carbon razors I had tried up to that point (Stainless and Titanium).  I also liked the fit and finish of the H&S razors compared to nearly everything else, including the Carbons.

Well, my opinion has changed.  The Carbon Cx Titan, with the hybrid handle and both the original and mild plates, has won the shaving battle of all high end razors I have tried.  For me, the Carbon + and ++ plates were only slightly more efficient than the original plate, and did not provide as smooth a shave.  In fact, for me, those plates were nearly the same.  The Titan hybrid handle is so light, that the balance and maneuverability improved the performance of the Carbon Titanium head.  For me, it had equaled the performance of the H&S P076 Titanium and was up with the best I have experienced.  Also, the carbon fiber section of the Titan poodle handle is more grippy than either the stainless or Ti versions of the poodle handle.  It is the best of the Carbon handles I have tried.  The Titanium head with the Ti-Carbon hybrid handle is astonishingly light.  If Carbon takes this handle out of production, they are making a monumental mistake.  Once again, they have a product that NO ONE on the planet has.  In the past, I have not agreed with several of Carbon's "business model" decisions.  I hope this does not get added to that list.

I learned two things about what works best for me, during this Carbon test.  I prefer lighter razors with a smaller head, and with the blades not covered at the ends.  The minus (-) plate was a tad smoother with a little less blade feel, but lost the efficiency that the original plate provides.  The Carbon original plate, shaves very smooth... with enough blade feel and audio feedback to be efficient but not skin irritating.  Also, the original plate can be put on autopilot while providing an efficient non-threatening shave experience.  As I said in my previous reviews, the original plate architecture is the sweet spot for this razor....for me.  The mild (-) plate is nearly as good, and I would recommend it for those who want a "mild high end razor".

My H&S P076 17-4 versus Carbon Titan comparison shave was not fair.  Both razors are fantastic, but the Carbon Titan won the shave due to the advantage of being lighter and more maneuverable, which I now prefer.  I got equal shaves with the Carbon Cx Titan as the H&S P076 Titanium model, which were both the best of my life (up to that point in time). The Carbon Cx Titan with the Hybrid handle is most likely the highest quality and best shaving "lightweight" high end/heirloom razor on the market today.  All of the "competing" high end stainless and Ti razors are either bulkier or much heavier or both.

The Carbon Stainless Plates, Ti Plates, Ti Handle and Ti-Carbon Hybrid handle do not have the same level of nearly "perfect finish" as the H&S P076 (17-4 and Ti models).  As much as I love the Carbon razor head and Ti-Carbon Hybrid handle, the final finish is not up to the same standards of either H&S or the wolf.  My mantra as an engineer, is "the devil is in the details".  The difference between a good engineer and a great engineer is attention to detail.  IMHO, the Carbon still has a long way to go with attention to detail when compared to others in it's price class.  Do not get me wrong, Carbon is high quality and well designed, but improvement is possible.  If I judge solely on the quality of the shave, the Carbon Cx Titan with the Ti-Carbon lightweight handle is now at the top of my high end razor list.

My review describes what works best for me.  I know many of you prefer heavier razors and that is fine.  The Carbon Cx in stainless is a fabulous razor, with many plate options.  Those options from Carbon may work for you.
